„Thermo-modernization of district organizational units of the District of Ilawa”

Co-financing from the MF EOG:  1 980 094,00 PLN

Last year, as part of activities aimed at improving energy efficiency in district buildings, another application on thermo-modernization was filled. In the wake of this in July this year one started the project entitled: "Thermo-modernization of district organizational units of the District of Ilawa". For the implementation of this task, the District of Ilawa acquired a grant from the Operational Program PL04 entitled "Saving energy and promoting renewable energy sources", financed from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area 2009 - 2014.
The main objective of the project entitled "Thermo-modernization of district organizational units of the District of Ilawa" is to improve energy efficiency in public buildings, belonging to the District of Ilawa.
Thermo-modernization relates to the following institutions:
- Constitution of May 3 School Complex in Ilawa,
- Irena Kosmowska School Complex in Susz,
- as well as the building of the District Roads Administration in Ilawa.

The need for implementation of the project stems from the detailed analysis of the energy situation in district public units. While working on the project, one also took into account expectations and social needs, as well as the need to implement European Union policies aimed at reducing pollutant emissions. Some buildings belonging to the district are not energy efficient, which results in a significant burden on the government budget. Reducing heat losses through thermo-modernization (insulation of compartments, replacement of windows and doors), modernization of heating systems (replacement of heaters and thermostats), installation of solar collectors in the School Complex in Susz, is not only the action of ecological and economical nature, but also the action raising public awareness on energy conservation and legitimacy of the implementation of the RES (Renewable Energy Sources). Implementation of the project entitled "Thermo-modernization of district organizational units of the District of Ilawa" co-financed from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area will also influence the improvement of learning conditions of the youth in educational institutions, including: the Constitution of May 3 School Complex in Ilawa, the Irena Kosmowska School Complex in Susz, as well as their employees. The improvement will also cover thermal comfort of work in the District Roads Administration in Ilawa, as well as in district educational institutions in Susz and Ilawa at Mieroslawskiego Street.

As part of the project entitled "Thermo-modernization of district organizational units of the District of Ilawa", in 3 district units there will be made:
• insulation of building compartments with a total area of 6 685,68 m2,
• modernization or replacement of windows with a total area of 326,08 m2,
• modernization or replacement of doors with a total area of 21,98 m2,
• installation of solar collectors in the amount of 12 pieces in the Irena Kosmowska School Complex in Susz.
The Contractor of the Project is the Consortium of the following Companies:

- Zaklad Produkcyjny OKNAL S.C. Henryk Siergiej, Przemyslaw Czaplinski, Ziemowita Street No. 6D, 14-200 Ilawa,
- Zaklad Ogolnobudowlany LECH Leszek Licznerski, Wikielec No.158F, 14-200 Ilawa.
Duties regarding investment supervision of the task entitled "Thermo-modernization of district organizational units of the District of Ilawa" will be performed by Pracownia Projektowa, Dariusz Ogonowski Dobrawy Street No. 21, 14-200 Ilawa.

The works planned within the project entitled "Thermo-modernization of district organizational units of the District of Ilawa", are aimed at improving the standard of services provided in the Constitution of May 3 School Complex in Ilawa, the Irena Kosmowska School Complex in Susz, as well as the District Roads Administration. The project will also improve external aesthetics of buildings located in Ilawa and Susz. Implementation of the project is further proof of how much you can benefit from EU funds, which include the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area.
